I have had a number people ask me to distribute a book and journal article listing with my critique and reviews. This might be helpful to people interested in finding out more about the history, the current opinions, and the various engaged scholarly dialogue about the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. I will work on putting this together. I have read the work of revisionist historians and literary scholars, but in truth, they are from the progressive camp: mainly Israelis (both Jewish and Arab/Palestinian citizens), Palestinians (living in the West Bank & the diaspora), Jewish American, and British writers.
I confess to being unabashedly anti-racist in selecting readings that are pluralistic and pro-humanity. I do not entertain literature that is not historically accurate, or conducive to promoting truth, justice, and peace.
Watch for this in the coming weeks. Also, post what you have found interesting and helpful in this respect. Thanks!

What does "Enduring Peace" look like?
What does "Enduring Peace" look like and how does one find it?
As I begin to think about what I hope can become a place of open and honest community dialogue about a very troubling subject, Palestine/Israel, I would like to know what you think of the name for this blog and more importantly, the concept that "Peace Overcomes Conflict".
I have some thoughts about what it would take for "enduring peace" and I am sure you have some as well. So, I ask that you please share with us what those thoughts are. For openers, what does justice for all people have to do with keeping the peace? Does building walls and fences to separate people promote peace? Are the people/institutions of today responsible for things that happened 40 or 60 years ago, or do we just pick another day and time in history, or do we reset the clock to "from-now-on"? Does one peoples demand for more land, water, and absolute security trump everything else?
I will stop here and listen. I hope you will speak from the heart, but remember, the people that see and hear this have hearts that beat the same rhythms of all humanity: the longing for family, livelihood, health, and the ability to pursue their full potential as they abide with their "God" within those families. This is something that would seem to be universal for humankind. Thank you.
